Assessing the Impact of Applicant Tracking Systems on Recruitment Efficiency: A Pre- and Post-Implementation Study in the BPO Sector
The increasing demand for skilled workforce in the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) sector has led to a surge in recruitment activities. Given the high turnover and volume of candidates in this sector, companies are increasingly turning to technology solutions such as Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to streamline and optimize their recruitment processes. ATS automates key recruitment tasks such as resume screening, interview scheduling, and candidate tracking, offering the potential for significant improvements in efficiency. However, the impact of ATS on recruitment efficiency, particularly in the BPO sector, remains under-explored.
This research aims to assess the impact of ATS on r`ecruitment efficiency by comparing key metrics (time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, quality of hire, etc.) before and after the system’s implementation. The focus of this study is on the BPO sector, where rapid hiring and high employee turnover present unique challenges. This study will also analyze the integration challenges, user satisfaction, and candidate experience associated with ATS adoption. Ultimately, this research will contribute valuable insights on whether ATS implementation enhances recruitment outcomes and whether the investment in such technologies yields a significant return in the BPO sector.
